The first minute — do this in any emergency
1
Make it safe — Protect yourself first, then them — traffic, fire, live wires, water.
2
Check response — Shout and gently tap the shoulders: “Can you hear me?”
3
Call 112 — (or 108 for an ambulance). Ask a bystander to call and fetch an AED.
!Not breathing normally? Start CPR now — 30 pushes : 2 breaths, hard and fast.
Trained responders know this as DRSABCD — also check the Airway and Breathing, and use an AED (defibrillator) if one is available.
